This wall hung piece is of solid maple with finger jointed spline miter construction and turned columns. Designed around the antique (1883) Bible cover it prominently displays, this was built for the observance of Sabbath, incorporating key elements of my faith, such as the Menorah and Communion Cups. The book cover is removable, revealing a hidden compartment that holds a Hebrew book of Psalms, and there is an unexpected drawer with shelf for lighting the Menorah. Scroll work matches the design of the cover, and is hand shaped.
